3rd Annual Shade Tree BBQ Cookoff

and End of Summer Picnic

August 3 and 4, 2012

Locust Grove is now a member of the Alabama Barbeque Association. 

Entry fee $100.00, covers all categories.  Categories include Boston Butt BBQ, Chicken, and Ribs. Each pays $200.00 and $100.00 to 1st and 2nd place winners.  Grand Champion pays $200.00.  You MUST enter in all 3 to be eligible for the Grand Champion.  Extra categories include favorite dessert, side item, favorite sauce, and peoples' choice on Boston Butt.  Each extra category pays $25.00.   Allotted space will be approximately 20' x 20'.  Water and electricity not provided.  All applications and checks must be received by July 27, 2012  The community is invited to come together after the judging, bring a dish and sample the barbecue.  Enjoy the summer with a good, old-fashioned picnic.
