Current Sermon Series

BibleDiscovering the Bible Again for the First Time
Series Begins Sunday, August 9

Have you ever wondered how the story of Adam and Eve is connected to the story of Abraham and Sarah? How do the struggles of Jacob and Esau have anything to do with King David? What does the Exodus tell us about God? How is the Old and New Testament related? Why is it important to understand that Jesus is from the lineage of David? Are these separate stories or is there a larger story being told in the Bible? Most importantly, have you ever wondered what the stories of the Bible have to do with you?

For the next year we are going to discover the story of faith told in the Bible. We will begin with Genesis and we will end in Revelation. We will learn to connect the individual stories of the Bible in the larger story of faith. Hopefully we will find ourselves in the story and take our place in the ongoing epic of faith. Along the way we will have a chance to explore issues that all of us confront.

Discovering the Bible Again will be an exciting opportunity for us to reconnect to the greatest story ever told. We are told in 2 Timothy that scripture is given to equip and train us so that we can take our place in the story of faith. I look forward to beginning this journey with you August 9. This will be the series for 8:15 and 10:30 Sunday worship. Invite your family and friends and together we will Discover the Bible Again for the First Time.
